"Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder"
Cathy,
When I looked at you before the accident, I saw your beauty.
When I look at you now, I still see your beauty.
When I look at you in the future, I will continue to see your beauty.
Cathy, you were, are, and will always be beautiful to me.
I love you,
Lenny

Lenny, your poem is wonderful, as are you and your dedication to your sweet wife. You could teach many husbands a lesson or two!
Cathy, I am so excited that your trip to Austin went well. I wish I could have been there and I would have, if not for my own recovery from surgery. I hope my little basket of Avon products brought in some decent money.
In my mind, I compared your horrific accident to a cocoon that housed your fragile body. As I saw the dedication of your family to be by your side day and night, and your friends doing whatever they could for you and to help out your family, "fed" you LOVE.
The doctors healing hands, the care given, infinite praying, Linda's blog for many of us to be a part of your amazing climb to recovery, "fed" you HOPE.
Your determination to work during therapy no matter how hard it was and will continue to be, you "fed" yourself, STRENGTH.
Being home among your things, your bed, Lenny always near, seeing Audrey as often as you'd like, has "fed" you, PEACE.
Your mind, heart, and soul, was/is beautiful.
You, inside and out, are wonderfully unique. And out of the cocoon, you have emerged, even more gorgeous than ever before!
You, Cathy, have "fed" me inspiration, and I am different for it and thank you. I am blessed to have you in my life, and honored to watch you, a unique, gorgeous, caring, loving, dedicated, butterfly take flight.
With all my love, to you and your family, Lauren
